Hi there. I've been on MTF HRT for about a month and a half now. My nipples are really sore and I knew that would happen. Sore and they feel thick. For those who have experienced it... how many months will the soreness endure?

small price to pay, really.

At least you're getting something out of it. Last time my nipples were sore (when I was 13-14) I didn't even get itty-bitty-titties out of the deal. ;_;

I imagine the soreness is still an annoyance despite the joy that goes with it?

[So I'm afraid I can't help with your actual question, sorry]

I like it so far, actually. It makes me think things are happening. (It's more sore than painful in my case.)

They'll be sore every time they grow. On initial doese of HRT that should mean at least three years of growth, although I know girls who have been on HRT over six years who are still experiencing growth and its accompanying soreness.

It's years, not months.

After month five I could about hug people normally again, but it returns in occasional week, week.5 bursts for me.

Personally, I find the ache strangely comforting.

If it makes you feel any better (and it probably won't), but biowomen get the same annoying soreness. It can be on and off for a couple of years.

I'm ftm. If memory serves as I try to block out as much of female puberty as possible, I was in a ton of pain for 2 years from 8 to 10, then a few year break when they didn't grow more, then they started to grow again in my late teens and it hurt for about another year, another year or two break, then a year of Ow! Ow! Ow! Knock on wood no more pain since then.

I've been on hormones 20 months or so, and I still get sore nips whenever my breasts have a growth spurt.

Yay!!!....Congrats, the pain will be constant for up to a year and then you will get tender again each time you go thru another growth spurt. Everyone is different, your results will vary. Michelle

18 months and still periodically sore - that means they're growing. :D

I've been on HRT for a few weeks and I just noticed the soreness a few days ago. I guess it isn't as sore as everyone elses, or maybe they are more sensitive and later on they will be sore. But I really am enjoying the sensations. Like when my shirt brushes against my nipples. I dunno.

Just wait. You may change your mind. And there will come a point where you'll need to wear a bra to keep them from rubbing against your shirt.
