excessive breast soreness?

hi ya'll, so i had a question about your experiences when starting breast growth. i'm roughly a month and a half into estrogen (5mg) + spiro (100mg), and while my breasts are growing, they fucking hurt. how normal is this? i was told to expend tenderness & soreness but not actual pain. but this is normal, right? i'm probably being paranoid but it's even uncomfortable to wear a bra right now.

I had this. It was especially bad in the first few months.

It is very normal and the pain will pass eventually. Or at least lessen gradually. So no need to be paranoid =)

How long it will take, hard to say as it varies very much. But as I said there is no need to worry, especially if you do not feel or find any weird growths which would be rather surprising this early on.

Normal, don't worry. Everyone is different.

Mine hurt like the dickens, for a while. I had soreness and explosive lots-of-cussing pain upon bumping them into things and occasionally shooting twingeing pains that I was scared were, like, heart attacks, here and there.
It totally settled down after not too long. Growing pains are a thing people with breasts just often don't talk about in public.

Pain is normal while breasts grow but taking Evening primrose oil tablets daily really really help!

for what it's worth, i'm FAAB, 30, started growing boobs at 12, have had my period since i was 13, and have been on HBC since i was 19. randomly, every few months, mid-cycle? my boobs get so sore i have to wear a sports bra because ANY movement is agonizing, and if i roll over in my sleep it often wakes me up because the bed coming into contact with my breasts is painful enough to bring me out of sleep. considering that i've been hormonally stable for a really long time now, and that still happens? i don't have any experience with being on prescribed estrogen, but it seems like it'd probably be pretty normal for them to hurt like hell when they're first growing. as with anything, though, i'd say that if it starts hurting on a level you find genuinely disturbing, check with your doctor.

I'm faab, and early on in puberty i was sure there was something incredibly wrong with me, it hurt so much. I don't think it's common, but I doubt it's a sign of anything serious.

If it's possible, you could always ask your female relatives what puberty was like for them to get an idea of what's common for your family.

Yes, your experience sounds normal to me. Have you, like [info]bruised_bat, tried a sports bra? I am AMAB, and I wear a sports bra nearly 24/7; it really helps with the pain.

That's too much medication you're taking. I transitioned with 2mg estradiol and no spironolactone; I did take some progesterone and some herbs however 5mg
of estradiol is way over the top unless you weigh an awful lot. I'm an ex pharmacy tech and I never saw anyone with that high of a dose. Did you get that prescription from a doctor or on the street? The risks are just too high. Estradiol in that quantity can increase your chances of breast cancer. What's the hurry, slow down and enjoy the ride. Michelle
